UI Update + Aeternitas progress


Hello!!!

College has been doing its average thing again of taking my time, but health is also there as a present problem too. BUT that won't stop me entirely-- I have a few updates and a change that I've been really wanting to show, and you get to see a poor mockup of the idea before I do it.

SPRITES...! Again.
"Spiral, what the hell is this?" - Said by no one, but I'll answer it.

I keep being very unhappy with the sprites and how they look, and recently I've had a very high of motivation since Artfight is upcoming but not at the same time? Either way, it's made me do a bunch of references for the games characters, I've currently done 35 out of roughly 106. I didn't want these to just cause burnout and look pretty, and put that together with my want to change sprites? What if; Each character had their own unique sprite/expression/pose,,,kinda, not so pose, i defintely want to but poses aren't my strong point; BUT MY POINT IS what if the characters references were also their sprite? Bunts reference is used there in that mockup, and you can see snippets of others sprites and references now on the wiki! (Cool, right?)

SOME TILE REWORKS

This was shown on Twitter a while ago, in February.  To quote:

- Revamped some tilesets, primarily nature tiles, though buildings in Aternitas have also had a big change/more variation (But it is still a big WIP)
AETERNITAS!

The tiles shown in the screenshot will be what the main buildings for Aeternitas will be; I originally had them monotone but changed and settled on a more eco/modern look to them. Aeternitas is a mix of steampunk/space themes, but I like to think the commonfolk have a balance; the entire nation is more advanced than every other existing place, though, it's difficult to represent all of these at the same time so I think making the buildings like this somewhat works, for me at least. Third image is a look at the character sprites :]

Above is multiple non-spoiler, most unfinished, CGs! Looking at Fulminaire, I felt that the story was very rushed, but the next chapter after Aeternitas will defintely continue on that nations plot since I really want to make it to its fullest potential, Bunt is one of my favourite characters to write; and Fatali Stellae and Fulminaire are my favourite alliances/nations, I'd hate to just leave them how they are. But, I defintely strive for Aeternitas to get the main plot of the game going, and show my writing properly. Something I worry about often is that people will get annoyed by how story heavy the game is, but at this point I really want to stop worrying about that and do this for myself, since, story is what drives the game, it is what I aim to be the focus. 

As for date, I know it keeps extending, but the goal is June, August at latest. This is my first ever year where I have a no school in June, I'm pretty sure I get a way more extended holiday than just 6 weeks, so I'm going to utilise that to the best! But this Thursday, there is a week free :) I'm so sorry about the lack of updates and stuff, but I want this game to be the best it can be, and not undermine my writing(?)!
